The Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park is one of the main tourist attractions in Nordeste and one of its most popular destinations. It is known for its magnificent waterfall and its large garden, where there are several water mills fed by several streams from the river. The presence of these water mills reminds us of how important they once were in sustaining numerous families in the Nordeste region.Nowadays, this valuable architectural heritage is classified as a Property of Municipal Interest and is open to visitors. As well as an interpretive walking trail, the park offers other services for visitors, such as a Tourism Office, a Craft Support Centre and a snack bar, which operate according to a timetable.The park is always open and it is free admission. It has toilet facilities and a car park and is partially accessible to people with reduced mobility.
