The Termas das Caldeiras da Ribeira Grande is a thermal complex dating back to the 19th century. Located in a valley surrounded by vegetation typical of the Laurissilva forests, it offers sulphurous thermal waters at around 39°C, known for their therapeutic properties. The complex was built in 1811 and is also known as Banhos da Coroa. Part of its collection is an old stone bathtub that belonged to a house of the Moreira family, dating from 1803.In the past, rheumatic and dermatological treatments were provided at this spa; today, the use of thermal resources is mainly associated with well-being and relaxation. This space includes stone pools, volcanic mud massages and relaxation areas, providing visitors with a wellness experience in harmony with nature.
